My Ten Minute List

Yesterday I asked for input on making a list of things we will be able to do this year that we were not able to do last year, and I am more than pleased at the response!

Here is MY list:

I will be able to get my blood pressure lowered
I will be able to do the Cooper River Walk
I will be able to finally not be plagued by my sore back
I will be able to help thousands of people getting to their weight loss goal
I will be able to finally say “I am at goal”
I will be able to take those dance lessons I really want to take (shag and belly)
I will be able to learn to lay brick (yup, always wanted to learn this!)
I will be able to wear a bikini
I will be able to “see” myself at under 140 pounds
I will be able to finally start loving myself
I will be able to be completely free of shyness in front of the camera
I will be able to go shopping in any “5, 7, 9″ shop
I will be able to not hear my knees creek walking up a flight of stairs
I will be able to meet more people from the Happily Thinner After forums!!!
I will be able to be a trophy wife (yup, I crack myself up!!!)
I will be able to not be worried about my “muffin top”
I will be able to work in the garden without feeling winded
I will be able to get health and life insurance, without the waiver of being overweight

I want to share some of the comments from other lists, but that will be tomorrow.  And do you know what else tomorrow is???  Tomorrow I start my 6th ROUND!  WOOHOO!!!

Give Me Ten Minutes

Just give me ten minutes of your time today.  Let’s get a bit interactive.

We are all focused in on the newness of the year, and we are busy making plans for what we want to accomplish with our weight loss goals for the upcoming months.  Let’s stop for just 10 minutes and let our minds run wild and make a list of all the things we would like to achieve with our goals of being thin and healthy.

Set your stop watch for just ten minutes, and in those ten minutes I want you to list all the things you KNOW you will be able to do in 2009 (even if you wont have a chance to get them done) – things that are weight related that you couldn’t do before, or that were next to impossible to do.  Things that you just didn’t want to do because you were morbidly obese or for that matter, just overweight.

These are the rules:

  • Start each statement with “I will be able to”
  • You can only spend TEN MINUTES
  • Let your mind run wild, be whimsical, be realistic, it doesn’t matter
  • Concentrate on things that are weight loss related – things you couldn’t do before that you will be able to do when weight isn’t an issue
