Battles

Margaret Thatcher once said “”You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.”

This weight loss thing is a battle. One I am currently fighting with every essense of my being. I really thought that by now, almost 20 months after I had first heard about HCG that I would have been to goal, and been enjoying life as a “thin” person.

But the battle was only beginning – I have had some ups and downs with the protocol, but something I have finally come to realize is that I have not won it yet, and what is even more real than that is that I may have to fight many MORE battles before I can declare a win.

It seems over the last year I have spun in circles, not really understanding WHY but just chalking it up to unwise choices. It took this last failed attempt at a round on HCG to finally put a finger on what was happening and for me to get very proactive in finding a solution.

I am currently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana waiting to see a ND so that we can work on what I hope will be a solution to the ring around the rosey game I have been playing for 12 months.

As much as I hate to admit this, I am in Menopause, this much is real. Sure TOM decides to show up while I am making a ROAD TRIP, but he hadn’t reared his ugly head since December 5th of 2008, so that should have been my first clue that something was amis.

Because of some very special people out there, I have come to understand some things about this “change of life” I am going through. For some, the change comes and goes like a quiet whisper. For others, they go thru some physical challenges (night sweats, hot flashes). For still others, and it seems I fall into this particular category, the change creates chaos of unfathomable proportions which include emotional outbursts, sleep deprivation, mood swings, irrational thinking, difficulty in concentrating, memory lapses, and there are others as I am just naming the ones that I am experiencing.

One other challenge with going thru the change is the inevitable “weight gain” – interesting what Dr Simeons says in this short little paragraph:

Pregnancy or the menopause may annul the effect of a previous treatment.

Funny, this seems to be the category I am falling in. Since I started protocol, I have never had as tough a time as I am having now trying to maintain weight. No matter WHAT I do, I continue to gain. And do you know where I am gaining? Abdomanil area, which is directly related to hormone changes. So. There it is.

Just the tip of the iceberg that I call my life at the moment.

I am here in Baton Rouge to take the first step to feeling better. Because I can’t go on feeling this way. No one should have to go thru this.

Stay tuned, more is yet to come.

Road Trip!

Yup! I am about to embark on another adventure! There is a ND (Naturopathic Doctor) that is going to be in the Baton Rouge, LA area for a long weekend to work with clients. This particular ND has worked with my sister so she comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have wanted to see this ND for months, but her practice is in Texas, and well that is just too far for me. But when her newsletter said that she would be in the Baton Rouge area this weekend, I shuffled a few cards to see if I could see her. It worked out.

This woman assures me that by Sunday, I will feel better than I have been. Life has sure dealt me a blow recently. I have been dealing with several things, but hormonal issues are the core of it.

We will be focusing in on Allergy Elimination. She and a handful of other people across the US have developed a technique to reverse allergies to all sorts of things in just 3 days. My sister is living proof that it works so I am game to give it a shot.

We have a lot to learn about allergies, it’s not all about sneezing or itchy skin, it can have to do with things like weight gain and depression. There is also documented proof that you can be allergic to your own hormones. Yup, you read that right, but that is a story for another day, and precisely the reason I am making this unexpected trip.

I will be documenting this in true Biz fashion as I am the consummate researcher. If this works, no, I should say WHEN this works, the Bizinator will be back!

Stay tuned…

EggsCellent Choice!

The incredible edible egg!

It’s about time. Recently there was a study done at the University of Surrey that finally tells us something most of us knew all along (CTV.ca News Staff). Eggs are healthy. Bruce Griffin tells us that not only will eggs NOT cause cholesterol problems as had previously been reported, but they will help you lose weight when combined with other dietary changes, all actually leading to LOWER cholesterol.

Further declarations of the study prove that only 20 – 30 percent of the body’s cholesterol can be attributed to diet, with more significant cholesterol problems stemming from being overweight, lack of exercise, and smoking.

This is just added to the long list of misinformation the worldwide public has been fed ever since the advent of the scheme of LOW FAT was introduced in the early 90’s. Yet isn’t it interesting that as fat consumption decreased, obesity rates increased dramatically.

It just goes to show how incredibly important it is to do your research. Only then can you distinguish between what is real and what is information that is being forced fed by the powers that be that want your money.

Oh yeah, I could go on and on.
